Full Details of Itinerary

Day 01 - Kandy

After arrive to Sri lanka, You will meet our representative or your experienced tour guide at the airport with a name board. After welcome you will transfer to the grate city of kandy . On the way to Kandy You can visit Pinnawala Elephant orphanage. From airport to pinnawala journey about 80 Km will take 2 and half hours. With this orphanage, nursery and captive breeding ground for wild Asian elephants , Pinnawala has the largest herd of captive elephants in the world. In 2011, there were 96 elephants, including 43 males and 68 females from 3 generations, living in Pinnawala. The orphanage was founded to care and protect the many orphaned un weaned wild elephants found wandering in and near the forests of Sri Lanka. It was established in 1975. You can enjoy with this place about three hours. After checking to the hotel you can get a change and be relaxed. In evening you can attend to world famous kandy cultural dance show. After the event you can visit most beautiful and honorable place in Kandy, Tooth relic temple. Local people calling as “ Dalada Maligawa” to feel of peaceful Buddhist culture this is the best place. Day 02 - Transfer to Bentota Beach side

After breakfast, you can visit Peradeniya botanical garden. You can spend about half a day with this beautiful place Royal Botanic Gardens, attracts 2 million visitors annually. It is near the Mahaweli river (the longest in Sri Lanka). It is renowned for its collection of orchids. The garden includes more than 4000 species of plants, including orchids, spices, medicinal plants and palm trees. The total area of the botanical garden is 147 acres (0.59 km2), at 460 meters above sea level, and with a 200-day annual rainfall. The origins of the Botanic Gardens date as far back as 1371 when King Wickramabahu III ascended the throne and kept court at Peradeniya near the Mahaweli river. This was followed by King Kirti Sri and King Rajadhi Rajasinghe. A temple was built on this location by King Wimala Dharma, but it was destroyed by the British when they were given control over the Kingdom of Kandy. Thereafter, the groundwork for a botanical garden was formed by Alexandar Moon in 1821. He used the garden for coffee and cinnamon plants. The Botanical Garden at Peradeniya was formally established in 1843 with plants brought from Kew Garden, Slave Island, Colombo, and the Kalutara Garden in Kalutara. The Royal Botanic Garden, Peradeniya was made more independent and expanded under George Gardner as superintendent in 1844. On the way to bentota, you can get a experience about spice garden in Mawanella area. Day 03 - Bentota

After breakfast, you can visit world famous Madu River, Local people calling as “Maduganga”, in Sinhala language “ganga” Mean River, mangrove lagoon joined to the sea by a narrow canal and containing 15 islands of varying size, some of which are inhabited. It is formed of two shallow waterbodies, Maduganga and smaller Randombe Lake, connected by two narrow channels. On the islands and shores relatively undisturbed mangrove vegetation contains a rich biodiversity qualifying the wetland for 7 Criteria of International Importance. Many globally/nationally endangered, endemic and rare species - e.g. Shorea affinis, an endemic and endangered plant, Mugger (Crocodylus palustris) vulnerable (IUCN Red Book) and CITES-listed Purple-faced Leaf Monkey (Trachypithecus vetulus), endangered, Estuarine Crocodile (Crocodylus porosus), Flapshell Turtle (Lissemys punctata), Indian Python (Python molurus) find shelter here. The lagoon provides the breeding, spawning and fattening ground for many fish species and supports 1.2 % of the Little Green Heron biogeographical population. The cultural heritage is very prominent, with numerous ancient temples in the area and on the islands. Maduganga helps in flood control by storing water during monsoon rains and retains nutrient run-off from nearby cinnamon plantations. The major occupation of the local people is fishing and agriculture (cinnamon and coconut) This Boat ride about two hours and you can visit a very beautiful and peaceful “Kothduwa island temple” and cinnamon island which you can get a good idea how local people making world famous Sri Lankan cinnamon. Not only that, you can enjoy with fish foot therapy (massage) holding as river floating island. After that you can visit Sea turtles conservation center. There are plenty of shopping choices in this island. The Colombo city also home to several high-quality restaurants serving plenty of international and local cuisine. In this day you can visit number of beautiful places around the commercial city such as “gangaramaya Buddhist temple, Independent square, National museum, Dutch hospital, Galle face ground, Victoria Park and open art gallery.
